Help us bridge the gap between poverty and education. Your financial status should not have an effect on your success level in school. As a community we can come together and help make a difference in the lives of these families.
Over the past two years with the help of the community, we filled over 1000 bookbags and gave away 2 brand new laptops w/ printers for the 2011-12 school year to the Durham NC Community.
We are hoping to send a minimum of 1000 children back to school for the 2013-14 school year, focusing on students whose parents cannot afford to purchase these items for the upcoming school year. This back to school giveaway will benefit at risk youth who are minorities and apart of low-income families. We would be honored to have you become a sponsor or donor for this event.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE :
Founder of Women Wear Pants Too Inc. ™ declares last week in March National Women Wear Pants Too Week
*UPDATED* Riverdale Maryland 3/18/2013 – Shaunesi DeBerry-Melvin, Founder, Women Wear Pants Too Inc. ™ has declared the last week of March as the “National Women Wear Pants Too Week”
March is Women’s History Month and while we should always want to pay homage to those women who have paved the way for us, I want the world to also embrace those women who are pushing their way thru adversity daily to make history; whether it is something as small as being the first to graduate in their family or the first to find a cure for cancer. On an open minded scope “Making history” for some is the smaller things and for that we should honor all women. – Shaunesi DeBerry-Melvin
The founder of Women Wear Pants Too Inc. ™ has set a goal to have a minimum of 1000 5000 people simply post a sign (handmade or printed) saying: WOMEN WEAR PANTS TOO. Giving acknowledgement that even though women are constantly faced with many challenges, they are able to adapt to any situation with courageous strength and a dignified smile.
The kickoff campaign is set to go viral March 25, 2013 and run through March 29, 2013 *UNTIL THE GOAL IS MET* ; annually increasing and with more detail. To participate simply take a picture holding a sign that reads: WOMEN WEAR PANTS TOO, post and tag it to Facebook: (www.facebook.com/womenwearpantstoo), Twitter: @wmnwrpantst00 or Instagram:@womenwearpantstoo
For over 3 years, Women Wear Pants Too Inc. ™, a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization, has upheld a mission of promoting Women’s Enrichment within the community. BREAK THE CYCLE NOT THE LOVE ™ -> THE MOVEMENT
Break the Cycle, Not the Love ™ is a movement founded by a local t-shirt designer and community philanthropist, strong businesswoman, and mother of two Shaunesi DeBerry-Melvin, whose mission began as a push to end domestic violence and empower women through her company Women Wear Pants Too, Inc. Break the Cycle, Not the Love ™ took on a life of its own, and Shaunesi received an outpouring of support from people all over the world who had been on the wheel of a destructive cycle they were fighting to break. Being a survivor of domestic violence raising 2 beautiful girls, Shaunesi has taken this movement to the community she is a part of- the global one- to show everyone that getting off the wheel takes nothing but a word. Love. Everyone has a cycle they would break, WHAT'S YOURS !?!?!?!?!
